Words

The baby is napping and I'm enjoying the quiet, listening to a podcast of one of Randy's sermons from a couple of weeks ago. I was so encouraged and challenged by the service this past Sunday, and I'm feeling grateful, more thankful than ever to be part of a community that fights for the truth and fights for the revelation of truth in each other's lives.

Yesterday I sat in a room with several women from our community to talk about how we can be there for each other as women and, especially, as mothers. It wasn't simply a social get-together, although it was very social and fun. It wasn't a prayer meeting, although we did pray together. It wasn't a Bible study, although someone did share an encouraging scripture for us moms with young children (Is. 40:11). We weren't even there very long. But it was something meaningful. And I walked away feeling as if I'd taken a long, deep breath of crisp, clean air.

Peace and quiet, aren't they wonderful things. I am so glad that you have such a wonderful group of ladies that you can learn and grow with. What a wonderful blessing. The truth is always worth the fight to find.
