Thank you for being patient.
So the big news is that . . . I quit my job.
And I feel . . . elated. And somehow different.
No one I know would describe me as a risk-taker. They would say that I'm steady, responsible, dependable, faithful. (I'm a golden retriever, remember?)
And despite the loud objections that the dutiful, unquestioning, responsible person in me keeps making on an hourly basis, another part of me is winning out little tiny bit by little tiny bit.
She's the part who feels in her bones that there's something out there that is infinitely better than what she can envision, if she'll just open her eyes to look.
I like her.
