Okay, okay, so I know that I've been horribly negligent in updating this blog.
But as you can see on my previous post, we just bought a house. And the past month has been all about buying, then painting, sanding, scrubbing, caulking, electrifying, and then moving into said house. I'm exhausted. And there are boxes everywhere, which I'm ignoring for the moment.
On top of all of that, Casey the dog has been having panic attacks almost every day since we've been in the house. Granted, Spring is usually a rough time for him anyway due to the ever-lingering thunderstorms, and I don't know if being in a new place is making it worse or not. . . but it's unbelievably annoying. It's all I can do to not smack him sometimes.
Now before you chide me for being pushed over the edge by my otherwise adorable dog's extremely annoying nervous condition, consider that A) we can't do anything for him when he gets like this except dope him up with a couple of Benadryl, and B) YOU come and live with a 90-lb dog who is fervently pacing and shaking and panting his very hot and very stinky breath in your face at a constant rate of 100 pants-per-minute and see how long your patience lasts. At 4 AM.
Mom, is this what me having colic was like for you? If so, you deserve a much more awesome present for Mother's Day than I could ever afford.
All in all, I love the new place. It is a great home and I'm happy to make it ours.
