Well, it's getting about that time, I guess. Time for us to take the plunge and buy a home.
It’s taken us 4 years to get to this point. Now granted, we’ve wanted a home for a while, but it’s taken us these years to finally get to the point where we actually want to put ourselves on a budget to save a down payment and make it happen.
This is a big step—and not one we want to take lightly. We just want a nice, cute home in a decent neighborhood. Now I could go further and say that I want to live in Green Hills, have a porch, a good backyard, hardwood floors, etc…but I’m trying to be realistic. It doesn’t always work.
Usually the conversation goes something like this:
G: Look at this house. It’s great! Hardwoods, nice yard, looks decent…
L: Where is it?
G: Umm…somewhere off Thompson Lane, I think.
L: (disinterested) What about in Green Hills?
G: I’ll have to look in the $400,000 range.
L: (pouting)
So, The Budget starts on December 1st…8 days left to buy whatever I want! :)

I lived for 31 years buying whatever the heck I wanted - and then I got married and got a budget. But, it's not so bad. I like my house a lot more than I like eating out and going to the movies. Well......yeah....I do. Right? RIGHT???
I'm so excited for you..whahoooo...homeward bound...or is it homeword :)
