Right now I'm sitting in one of my favorite local coffee shops, Portland Brew, checking email and watching the steady stream of people that come in and out these doors at 10 am on a weekday. Businessmen, musicians and wannabe musicians, students. Lots of Macs being used; iPhones abound. Indie music on the overhead speakers. A big cup of good coffee next to me. White carnations in green Perrier bottles on the tables. Big windows, sunny day. Open manuscript in front of me.
Next stop, fabric shop. Then maybe Anthropologie for window shopping. Who knows? The freedom to wander is SO nice.
