I had a lot of work to do today.
I came home from lunch in the rain and checked in on a very wet Ripley, who had been playing in the rain. He was happy after a nice peanut butter treat, and I consulted iTunes for some backgroung music. It felt like a Damien Rice day, so I got him going and settled in to work at the kitchen table.
There was a lot to do. I worked straight through Damien and looked up long enough to notice a cover of "To Love Somebody" by Damien and Ray LaMontagne playing. I was so engrossed that I hardly noticed I had listened to the entirely of an annoying Dashboard Confessionals album and a song by Danielle Peck (who is she and how did she make her way into my iTunes?). During Dave Matthews's solo CD, Baby Girl kicked me and I got up for a bottle of water and a snack. By the time Dave and Tim Reynolds were playing "Satellite" live at Luther College, I was needing a break, and called it a day after the acoustic version of "What Would You Say."
