Last night George and I had dinner with two of my old high school acquaintances. We talked about our current jobs, "how's your sister," "did you hear about so-and-so," etc. I found out about old acquaintances that are now married, or having kids, or in rehab, or dating older women. I heard names of people that I haven't thought about in years.
Our 10 year reunion will be next year and I can't wait to see all these people. I have a feeling that it will be surreal. That guy that I had a major crush on sophomore year? He's now bald and selling furniture. (What happened to all those gorgeous curls?!)
I think it will be weird and difficult to see people for who they are now, versus what they were then. I think I'm very different from who I was then . . . I wonder how others will see me.
