Write Me

Did you like the haiku I wrote? C'mon, embrace your inner 3rd-grader and write me one back.

Since it's probably been awhile since you've seen a haiku--or heard it talked about since you were a preteen--here are the guidelines:

A haiku is a form of Japanese poetry consisting of 3 lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line consists of 5 syllables. Usually the haiku deals with nature or connects two seemingly unrelated subjects.

Ready? Go!

(And yes, you can be anonymous if you want. But don't worry--this is a "safe zone." No one will judge you here. :)

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Everything is soon to be in bloom
And my puppy needs to go poo.

Okay, maybe it's not haiku :)
