Not because of anything I’ve done.
Lately, those words seem to be constantly dancing in my head. For the past week, both in a small group Bible study and in Randy’s sermon, a theme seems to be reoccurring—a theme of God’s choice in loving me.
It’s in Malachi, Matthew, Jeremiah, and 1 Corinthians. And the words from God that relentlessly echo over and over: I love you. I choose to love you. NOT BECAUSE OF ANYTHING YOU’VE DONE OR ANYTHING THAT YOU COULD EVER DO. Just because I can. And I do. And you can’t change that, no matter what you do or don’t do.
I think he’s trying to tell me something.

I love it when God echoes his message to us.
